How to Update the Firmware on Your GoStream

Preparation Before Update

1.Prepare a compatible storage device.

• GoStream Deck, GoStream Duet, and GoStream Duet 8 ISO support SD cards and SSDs.
• GoStream Omni 12 ISO supports CFexpress cards and SSDs.

2.Make sure the storage device has been formatted as exFAT.

3.Go to the GoStream Firmware Update page on the official Osee website and locate the firmware for the GoStream model you wish to update.

4.Click Firmware Download to enter the download page. On the download page, you will see two files:

• One file with the .bin extension
• One file with the .md5 extension

  Click the download button in the upper-right corner.

5.In the pop-up dialog box, click Or continue with download only. The download will then start automatically. If the download does not start, try using a different web browser.

6.After the download is complete, copy both the .bin file and the .md5 file to the root directory of the prepared storage device.

Do not place the files inside any folder.
Please use safe eject when ejecting the disk. Otherwise, it may cause file corruption or device upgrade failure.

Starting the Update

Important Notes:

• Keep the power supply stable during the entire update process. Power loss during the update may damage the switcher or cause it to enter an uncertain state. If the update fails due to power interruption, you may try updating the device again from the Preparation Before Update step.
• After the update is complete, go to:
                                                                Menu > Setting > Version
  Confirm that the firmware version has changed to the version you intended to install. If the version number is incorrect, repeat the update process from the Preparation Before Update step.
• To prevent the device from being updated to an unintended version, the update files on the storage device will be automatically deleted after each update. If another update is required, repeat the full process from the Preparation Before Update step.

1.Make sure the GoStream switcher is powered off.

2.Insert or connect the prepared storage device to the GoStream switcher.

• If using an SD card or CFexpress card, insert it into the corresponding card slot. Please note the correct insertion direction:
• GoStream Deck / GoStream Duet: Insert the SD card with the label facing upward.
• GoStream Duet 8 ISO: Insert the SD card with the label facing downward.
• GoStream Omni 12 ISO: Insert the CFexpress card with the label facing upward.
• If using an SSD, connect it to the correct USB-C port:
• GoStream Deck / GoStream Duet: Connect the SSD to the USB-C port labeled USB2.
• GoStream Duet 8 ISO: Connect the SSD to the USB-C port labeled USB1 or USB2.
• GoStream Omni 12 ISO: Connect the SSD to the USB-C port labeled C.

3.Power on the GoStream switcher. The firmware update will start automatically.

4.During the update process, the PGM and PVW bus buttons will indicate the update progress by lighting up green progressively.
The update usually takes about 2 minutes.

5.After the update is complete, the switcher will start automatically.Once the startup process is complete, restart the device once manually to complete the firmware update.
