Background
A university’s media and IT department needed a compact, reliable, and easy-to-operate solution to support daily lecture capture, hybrid teaching, and large campus events.
The existing AV system included multiple HDMI projectors, ceiling-mounted PTZ cameras, and a standard classroom audio system. However, the previous workflow required multiple devices for switching, streaming, and recording, which increased complexity and required dedicated technical staff.
The university looked for a single integrated device that could:
• handle mixed HDMI and SDI sources;
• support both streaming and local recording;
• work seamlessly with the school’s LMS, OBS, and conference platforms;
• be operated by student assistants with minimal training.

1. Mixed HDMI/SDI Input Compatibility
The GoStream Duet offers 4 HDMI and 4 SDI ports, allowing the system to accept:

Lectures are recorded directly to an SSD using the Duet’s built-in recording function.

3. Dual Outputs for Projector + Operator Monitor
The system provides two independent HDMI outputs:
• Output A： feeds the classroom projector (PGM)
• Output B： sends Multi-View to the operator’s Lilmon 5 monitor
This ensures that instructors and media staff can preview all sources in real time while maintaining a stable projection feed to students.
4. Easy Mode for Student Operators
To support classes that rely on student assistants, the Duet offers:
