Getting Started — GoStream Duet 8 ISO

Getting Started

1. Powering Your GoStream

Connect the included power supply to the DC in and an HDMI monitor to the HDMI OUT 3, and turn on the power switch on the back of the unit. The logo button in the panel's upper left corner will light up. The multiview will be displayed on the monitor when the unit boots up.

2. Updating Firmware

Please update to the latest firmware to unlock the newest function.

Step 1: Prepare an SD card formatted with exFAT. You can format the SD card on the unit.

Step 2: Download the firmware from the above link.

Step 3: Unzip the downloaded file and copy the .bin and .md5 files to the root directory on the SD card.

Step 4: Plug your SD card into the card slot (Insert the SD card with the unlabeled side facing up), turn off/on the unit, and the upgrade will start automatically.

3. Connecting to the Network

Connect the unit directly to your network router or switcher, and youll find that the GoStream obtains an IP address.

Note: Connect the GoStream to the switch, and the GoStream should be set to a static IP. Connect the GoStream to the router, the GoStream should be able to use DHCP.

The GoStream can receive stream video sources (NDI, SRT, RTMP), display web-browser graphics, and send the RTMP streams from/to the network.

Many network-based features require that all your devices are on the same network.

4. Connecting the Video Sources

4 HDMI or SDI cameras can be connected to the unit. The HDMI input can support up to 4K@60, and the SDI input can support up to 1080@60. The input can automatically detect an HDMI or SDI signal.

As for video signal input, such as SRT, RTMP, and NDI, please refer to the Setting the SRT input and Setting the RTMP input sections.

All inputs can be configured in MENU > Inputs

5. Connecting to the Streaming Software

You can use the USB to connect to the live streaming software, such as OBS, VMIX, etc. Either USB1 or USB2 interfaces can be used for this purpose.

Make sure the USB on your PC can support the bandwidth of the webcam output, or frame drops may occur. You can set the output frame rate to 24, 25, 30, or set the webcam interface to MJPEG in your software to solve this issue.

6. Starting Streaming with GoStream

Please refer to the video Start Streaming to set up your streaming platform.
