1. Powering Your GoStream
Connect the included power supply to the 2.1mm DC port and toggle the switcher to switch on your GoStream. The GoStream will boot up and the Logo light in the upper left corner of the panel will light up. When the device is turned on, the Logo light will turn off.
2. Updating Firmware
For a better experience, please update to the latest firmware version on the official website after getting the device.
Step 1: Prepare a storage device (exFAT), you can format it using the GoStream.
Step 2: Download the firmware in our website: osee-tech.com.
Setp 3: Unzip the downloaded file and place the bin and md5 files in the root directory of the storage device.
Setp 4: Plug your storage device into the GoStream device, restart the device and the upgrade will be automatic.
3. Connecting to a Network
Just connect and Ethernet cable from the GoStream directly to your router or other network device. Then you can see that your GoStream has obtained an IP address.
When your GoStream is on a network you will be able to remotely control and configure it using a computer or other device on the same network. And based on the network, your GoStream can receive IP video sources include: NDI, SRT, RTMP, Web Browser. A network connection also allows you to stream directly from your GoStream.
Keep in mind that many network based features require that all your devices are on the same network.
4. Connecting to the PC software
Step 1: Download the PC software in our website:osee-tech.com
Step 2: Connect your device and PC software. There are 2 connection methods.
Method 1: USB Cable
Connect your PC with GoStream USB port throught a USB cable. The software and GoStream will automatically connected.
Method 2: IP Connection
Connect your PC and GoStream into one network. Find your device in the PC software, and establish the connection.
5. Making a Transition
PGM(Program) BUS:
·The PGM bus outputs the final live feed that goes to the audience or recording.
·Any source selected on the PGM bus is what the viewers see.
·Typically, switching a source directly on the PGM bus results in an immediate cut transition.
·When you select a source in PGM bus, it’ll light Red.
PVW(Preview) BUS:
·The PVW bus is used to preview a video source before sending it live.
·It allows operators to check the framing, color, or graphics before switching.
·When a transition is triggered (e.g., a mix, dip, or wipe), the PVW source replaces the PGM source.
·When you select a source in PVW bus, it’ll light Green.
Transition Effects:
Transitions are used to smoothly switch between two video sources.
·Mix: A mix transition gradually fades the current source into the next one, creating a smooth blending effect.
·Dip: A dip transition fades the current source to a specific color (commonly black or white) before fading into the next source.
·Wipe: A wipe transition replaces the current video with the next one using a geometric pattern.
Make a Transition:
To make a transition using a hardware or software video switcher:
·Select the next source on the PVW bus.
·Choose a transition type (Mix, Dip, or Wipe) using the switcher’s control panel.
·Adjust the transition rate(optional).
·Use the transition fader (T-bar) or AUTO or CUT button to execute the transition.
·The PVW source moves to PGM, completing the transition.
